Nail trim
free
Here is a story. I adopted my dog Mexi from BARCS in 2018. She hated nail trims when I first got her. She pulled her paws away from the clippers, and ran away bodily from an electric nail grinder. My floors bear the scratches of this time. But with some simple and consistent training, she learned to stand calmly and confidently to get her nails trimmed and you would not know she used to fear the nail clippers.
My goal for every pet owner is for you to be able to easily clip your pet’s nails, and I will work with you to do this.
Bad experiences cause pets to fear nail trimming. Maybe they were held down, or maybe they were painfully cut in the quick. They try to say with their voices and body language they are scared of what will happen. If we don’t listen to them, they will say it louder, culminating in a bite and broken relationships. But the good news is we can take steps to train them to forget this fear. We can train calmness and confidence, and not biting.
Of course, if your pet is still scared and you simply need their nails trimmed in the timely fashion, I can do that, too. I will sedate your animal and trim their nails in a stress fee manner with an additional charge for the cost of sedation.
