The American Animal Hospital Association has guidelines for recommended vaccination against diseases common to dogs and to cats. Some vaccines are “core” (rabies and distemper for dogs; rabies and certain respiratory diseases for cats), while others are “non-core”, meaning they are additional vaccines that can be given based on risk specific to your pet. We can discuss which vaccines may be right for your pet at a Yearly Wellness Visit, or contact me for more information.
Each dose of a non-core vaccine, and Purevax Rabies 1yr for cats, comes at a small additional cost.
